Swing Sets
The swing and children have always been a two-some, with fond memories by most of us when we look at our childhood. And even today, the children run to the swing with screams of excitement for the sheer fun of leaving earth to leap into the air, legs pumping madly. This hanging seat, held by a rope from a tree, was usually found over a creek or in a circus for acrobats. Sometimes, it was even placed on an old-fashioned porch swing for peaceful evenings or for courting days as a seat of sorts.
The single swing set evolved to a double swing set when it became popular when more than one swing was needed due to its popularity by children and adults. It was then suspended by wooden frames, and then metal ones were used for durability. Presently, there is such a wide range of swing sets that it can come in a multitude of designs, colors, and materials. And with the playground sets that have a combination, many have went back to the wooden look.
One popular method is the Swing Set Kit that comes with the ability to look like a fort when done, in either a natural wood look or a painted wood design. The kit consists of 2 belt swings, trapeze, glider or buoy ball swing, a cargo net rope ladder, and the slide may or may not be sold with the swing and playground set. Almost like having a playground in the backyard instead of in the park, this kit is excellent for families with extra large yards. Many, many designs can be found online for a wide variety of designs and patterns. Accessories for the swing sets can be purchased as combo paks, with plastic steering wheels, plastic telescopes, and handgrips in a choice of colors. Other kits include the choice of adding add-ons, which can be either rock climbing walls, splet level turbo fort kit, or even monkey bars to tire swing.
And for commercialization purposes like public parks or school playgrounds, larger combination sets of all the playground equipment can be purchased for larger groups of children, and are more durable due to the higher traffic. Gardens and flowers enhance their looks, making them more stylish in park settings, or placed on school yards for recesses that are safe for the children. No splinters in the hands or legs when swinging, the newer material is much better for the children.
